Toyota 3ZR Engine Conversion

Toyota 3ZR Engine Conversion for Rover K-Series Cars

Working exclusively with a key UK supplier for Toyota engines, we have developed a kit to install the current generation Toyota 3ZR engine in the Rover K-Series powered Series 1 and 2 Lotus Elise or Exige.

In standard normally-aspirated form , this modern 2-litre twin-VVTi engine produces 160bhp and 150lb/ft of torque, in a unit that weighs the same as the Rover K-Series it replaces – thus retaining all the handling balance of the original car, but delivering more power and significantly more torque.

Additionally, it easily meets all current emissions regulations, whilst bringing Toyota performance and reliability to the series one cars.

The conversion includes:

  • Brand-new crated fully-dressed Toyota 2.0l 3ZR engine
  • Emerald K6 ECU, map, and loom conversion
  • PG1 gearbox adapter plate
  • Engine mounts
  • Signature 4-2-1 exhaust manifold and flexi section
  • Induction kit
  • Cooling hose kit
  • Complete drive-in drive-out installation service by experienced technicians at Hangar 111 workshop

We also offer a number of optional extras on the conversion, such as our PG1 gearbox refurb (uprated with carbon synchro & steel cage bearings), H111 Signature exhaust, AP Racing uprated clutch, etc.

For the more adventurous, this engine has great tuning potential above standard specification, with both throttle body and supercharger upgrade options under development for 2016.
