Hangar 111: Independent Lotus Specialist

As you may or may not be aware, Lotus have made a statement to the motoring press regarding the “termination” of Authorised Repairer contracts across the UK network.  The following is our statement in response to the Autocar article to more accurately clarify our position.    

Hangar 111 would like to make it clear that we have not been “terminated” as a Lotus Authorised Repairer.  In July 2021 we were given a choice and we chose to end the contract with Lotus.  We were shown all the requirements for what Lotus have coming up and what would be expected of us financially and otherwise.   Whilst we could have continued and changed our business to meet Lotus’ new plans, after weighing up the pros and cons, we concluded that our customer base would be better served if we ended the Authorised Repairer contract. Lotus were generous with time to allow us to make an informed decision and we then agreed a date for ending the contract.  A confirmation letter then arrived from Lotus that acknowledged the cancellation date as the 31st August 2021.

Business at Hangar 111 will be unaffected which is the most important thing for our customers, who have been and always will be our first priority.  Our support and development for all petrol-based Lotus models will continue as normal.  Hangar 111 wish Lotus and their staff all the very best with their new adventures and will support them should they require it in future.
