The Elise Cup R was developed from the standard road car by the Lotus Motorsport division. Lighter, stiffer, and more aerodynamic than the original vehicle, this car belongs on the track.
This is car number zero, Lotus own Cup R development prototype.
Bought directly from Lotus for the 2015 season, the car has proven itself to be both ultra competitive, consistent, and highly reliable. With multiple pole positions, fastest laps and race wins throughout 2015, the car won the Lotus Cup UK production championship, and came a very close second in the Elise Trophy championship – it’s first full season of racing.
Due to time constraints, in 2016 the car only raced at the final two rounds of Lotus Cup UK Production and Elise Trophy, at Silverstone and Snetterton, where it claimed two wins, one 2nd and two 3rd place finishes (5 podiums out of 6 races).
